No, never. It is not at all an issue for Indians because Indian people need Employment, Healthy economy, Better Medication and education systems and so many on which we have to work religiously for development and growth of our nation. However, just to mislead the Indians from the real issues, some political parties started new agenda since last 6 years. They are spreading a big lie to generate hatred towards Muslims in the heart of Hindu by misleading them about concept of multiple wives and more kids in Islam. They are spreading false propaganda by giving incorrect information. Brainy people are laughing on this thought but I feel sorry to say that many of innocents are believing in this theory.
Before to say something on the multiple wives in Islam, there is a need to understand Islam in depth. Islam came with the very first person on the earth, Prophet Aadam (PBUH) and Allah guide him to believe in one God & worship only Almighty Allah. The same message has been given by Almighty to all Prophets such as Noah, Shish, Ibrahim, Suleman, Yakub, Yusuf, Yunus, Ilyas, Zakariya etc (Peace be upon all of them). It is evident in the Quran
that whenever people followed the wrong path, Almighty had sent a Prophet to the people to show them the right path. Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) is last among them. Islam is the oldest religion on the earth. However, Islamic calendar begun when Prophet Mohammed (Peace be upon him) did his first journey from Mecca to Madina before 1441 years ago.
Elaborating further, Almighty had sent a religious book named Zubur through Prophet Dawood (PBUH), Torah through Prophet Musa (PBUH), Injil (Bible) through Prophet Isa (PBUP (Jesus)) and the last religious book Quran sent through Prophet Mohammed (PBUH). So, unlike to Jews who stopped at Prophet Musa (PBUH) and book given to him, Christians who stopped at Jesus and book given to him, Muslims believed that Mohammed is a last Messenger and Quran is final version of all religious book.
Now, Let’s have some clarity on multiple wives concept. Before birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), people used to marry many times. There are so many examples in history but there is no need of hurt sentiments by explaining this history in detail. So when Mohammed came, Allah sent a message through him to prohibited more than 4 wives on mankind because man cannot do justice among them, if they are more in numbers, again put force to marry with only one if man fears to do justice with two. (Surah Al nisa, Ayat number 3). In every book message came as per the condition of that era and this message had also came as per the condition of during that time. There were so many martyrs who leaves behind their wife and children without any financial backup. Hence, to support the family of martyrs the message comes from Allah to marry with widow of martyrs or marry with orphan
(daughter of martyrs) and take full responsibility of their families. Before Prophet Mohammed era, people were not treating widow respectfully and the marriage of orphan girls were so difficult. Thus, such message was given by Almighty to show right path and to improve the mentality of people towards widows and orphans.
In a present day, we are living in the era where we have already grown up to the stage where we know to give respect to widow or orphans. Hence, we have to focus on final command of Allah to “marry only one” where the man fears being unable to fulfill the rights of all his wives in a fair manner. Accordingly, we can barely see a man with multiple wives now a days.
May be 1 out of 1000. It may be in any religion; therefore, it is not justifiable to spreading unnecessary rumors about Islam or followers of Islam. You cannot judge a whole community on the basis of one person of that community.
Think wisely instead of follow blindly…
